Travel information By air Copenhagen, Denmark Most international flights land at Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup) in Denmark. To travel to Sweden from this airport is very easy since the railway station is located within the airport terminal and trains run frequently (every 15 mins) to Malmö and subsequently on to Lund (the conference location). The train journey involves crossing the Öresund Bridge - the new link between Denmark and Sweden. It is important to check that the train continues directly to Lund or whether you will need to change in Malmö and take an additional train. Ticket can be purchased at the airport or alternatively on the train. The journey to Lund from Copenhagen airport takes approximately 40 mins with a direct train. Taxis are also available, though to travel to Lund will cost 1000-1200sek (110-140 euro). A small number of airline operators may offer flights to Sturup Airport (Malmö Airport) in Sweden. This is very convenient since it is only about 30 mins from the hotel by taxi. Alternatively there is a frequent bus service that operated to Lund, which takes approximately 35 mins (Bus times). A taxi will then be required to travel to the hotel (approx 10 mins). By train from Copenhagen (Denmark) Train Copenhagen to Malmö (via Oresund Bridge). Take the directly train from the airport to Malmö Central Station or Lund. (Check whether the train continues to Lund or whether you must change trains). from Malmö (Sweden) Taking the train: The train takes 20 mins from Malmö and will arrive at Lund Station, which is some 4-5 km from Scandic Hotel Star. The easiest option is then to take a taxi to the Scandic Hotel Star Lund, this should not cost more than 50-60sek (5-6 euro). Ask first! Do not pay excessively more. Bus from the train station to Star Hotel (not Sunday): No 1 to Botulfsplatsen, change and take No 7 to Glimmervägen (Scandic Hotel Star) No 3 to Bankgatan, change and take No 7 to Glimmervägen (Scandic Hotel Star) By taxi Taxis are also available from the airport in Denmark, though to travel to Lund (Sweden) will cost 1000-1200sek (110-140 euro) or more. The cost of travelling from Malmö to Lund (Scandic Star Hotel) should be between 300-400 sek (35-45 euro). Ask first. Do not pay excessively more.
